Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies results. Springfield Residents Directory does not retain a separate copy of those searches. A contact message gives us the information included in that message, which we use to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services create normal logs, such as an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for maintenance and usage trends. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, when present, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
The limited technical or contact information supports operation, troubleshooting, aggregate traffic measurement, and page improvement. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to Lane County or Oregon portals, library collections, archives, and search providers. The destination’s own policy controls information submitted after leaving this service. That includes the separate provider behind sponsored search results.
Service Provider Access
Hosting and support providers process the technical logs needed to run the service. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed outside those functions only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no accounts, the site does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from someone under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be removed.
Your Oregon Privacy Choices
Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, ORS 646A.570-646A.589, gives qualifying Oregon consumers rights concerning personal data held by covered businesses, including access, correction, deletion, and opt-out rights in the circumstances the statute defines. Because this service retains very little, an inquiry normally concerns contact messages or technical logs. Send a request through the Contact page. Government records held by Springfield, Lane County, or Oregon are controlled by their own custodians and statutes, including Oregon Public Records Law, ORS chapter 192, rather than this policy.
Policy Changes
